Nightmare Realm: a cyberstalking novel

I started this blog to document my real-life experiences with a person who has been stalking me for a long time--- the stalker's emails and other communications with me, and my reactions.

I also had a web page on which I posted some older communications from the stalker. This web site has recently disappeared.

While I doubt very much that Blogger would listen to a stalker's complaints and take this blog down, the constant worry about losing all my blogs is making me a nervous wreck.

So this blog is now a novel about a stalking victim named Mina, and a mystery cyber-stalker known only as Cyber Terrorist Identity Thief--- C. T. for short.

It's going to be a very realistic novel--- everything in it will be strictly based on a real cyberstalking event which I can document.

But no living person can rightly claim he or she is being defamed by it.

My Nightmare Realm site, in which I deposited copies of C. T.'s threat letters, is somehow missing. I wonder how that could have happened?

This is kind of frightening as I don't know if my blogs will get deleted next, it's like C. T. can put up whatever he likes in Yahoo groups or wherever, and if I try to defend myself I get shot down.

Don't know what to do next.

Hi everybody,
this is C. T. from WOTAN, testing out our new forum. This website has been created for WOTAN by Mina Bayern from Michigan, USA. Yes, THE Mina I have been at war with over 50 Bucks for the last three or so years. We finally settled our differences, and Mina agreed to set up this website as her part of the peace-deal. So I officially withdraw all allegations of fraud, theft and dishonesty I made against her re the 50 Bucks, and will not make any further financial claims against her.
Some aspects of my war against Mina included a few punches under the beltline. Among other things I placed a number of Adult-messages in her name on various websites. Don't know what happened to those messages, but if you should come across them, please disregard them, do not blame Mina for it, but me.

Mina and myself hold strongly divided opinions on many topics; Euthanasia, Israel and George W. Bush, to name but a few. We also disagree a lot on the interpretation of the Asatru mythos for the 21st century. I doubt we will ever reach common ground here, so I am looking forward to many hot , but always friendly, debates and discussions, and sincerely hope many Asatru folks will join in and air their opinions as well.

Confronting the stalker

One of the cases mentioned is that of soap opera star Andrea Evans. Her character, Tina Clayton, was one of my favorites all those years ago. I couldn't wait to see what Tina would be up to next.

Then she left the soap. Only later did I find out that she had to drop out of sight due to a stalker. Only recently she has been able to work on soaps again, but not on the ones I watch.

I've also stopped the comment function on my blogs which I kind of didn't like anyway because it wasn't monitored. I figure if someone really has something to say they won't mind using my guestbook, which is moderated.

C. T. hasn't emailed in a bit though he has looked at this blog (I can tell from my StatCounter). Or maybe he emailed using a non-permitted email address and so it got automatically deleted without my seeing it.

I've also been setting up other message filters on my email so that anyone not in my email address book that emails me, their stuff gets shunted into a 'questionable' folder where I can look at it when I'm in the mood to deal with strangers. (I could set it to delete stuff from strangers if it gets to that--- I really don't WANT complete strangers emailing me anyway.)

For a while I was all set to set up new Yahoo IDs and join all C. T.'s groups under several identities so that even if he caught out the ones I have now and banned me, I could still post to his groups if need be. But if he ever goes that far that I felt the need to do that, I'd really be better off trying my luck with the police. And quite frankly, if I post his threats to this blog I've got a far bigger audience than in his 'groups', which seem to have become inactive since I revealed C. T.'s activity.

I've decided not to post Cyber Terrorist's threat emails as they come in but post them in batches every few weeks or so. I'd rather devote this blog to the issue of cyberstalking in general, give links to good stuff and so, than let it be dominated by C. T.'s latest threat. Besides, I think it just encourages him when I publish it as received, if I don't, I may receive less.

When I first became aware of C. T's latest nonsense of impersonating me on the message boards I worried he was destroying my reputation, that the Asatru community was taking his side. But on thinking it over it seems that everyone sees through C. T. after awhile and he isn't, thank the Gods, able to do much to me except tell lies that won't be believed.

I guess my best revenge is to get on with my life, finish my book and get it published. Let him top that!

I would really prefer it however if you would just quit your evil slander and terror campaign against me. I know it may be hard for you. But is there someone you trust that you can talk these things over with? There is no shame in seeking help.

You could do really good things with your life, C. T. You have a lot of energy and drive that you have been expending in your total war against me. If you could only focus that on something that will help your life instead of trashing your life, there is no limit to what you could do.

Think about it. What do you really want to do with your life? Write a book perhaps? If you could channel your focus onto that instead of onto attacking me, I bet you could write a book well worth reading.

You have skills, C. T. You are a worthwhile person under all that negativity and hostility, but you make it hard to see that.

He says he never goes back on his word, and then he writes '6MW', his death threat against me. Notice also his demands for back issues are up by one month. According to my records he must have received several months worth before he dropped his subscription with one last hateful letter. Of course, he claims he wrote to ask for more issues, but funny, isn't it, HIS letter is the only one that gets lost in the mail.

The money issue is actually already settled as I am willing to deduct his whole ridiculous $50 from the two thousand or so he owes me due to his criminal attacks on me and my family in the total war campaign. (If he wasn't on welfare I would sue, not only for costs but for wrongful death in my father's heart attack.)

Spam is not stalking

Some people who are being tormented by spam--- unsolicted commercial email, often for pornography or sex drugs like viagra--- fear that this torrent of mail is a personal attack by a stalker. If you already have a stalker, you may fear that a spam message is actually from your stalker.

If spam is your problem, try using Mozilla Thunderbird for email instead of Outlook Express. You can download Thunderbird for free. It has an adaptive junk mail control and will soon be whisking your spam out of sight before you even see it.

Pagan Predators

Link leads to an excellent article on predators within the Pagan (Wiccan) community.

'Alternative' religious communities such as the Wiccan, Odinist and others have a special problem when someone inside the community chooses to prey upon others. There are no hierarchy leaders acknowledged by all so there are no authorities within the faith to report an offender to.

Young people, particularly girls, are at special risk. This is especially true for those who come from non-Pagan homes and are exploring this religious path without the supervision of their parents.

Many of our Odinist kindreds/churches, like a Wiccan coven, are independent, tiny groups that came into the being through the work of one dedicated leader. These leaders are a precious resource. But it's easy for a sexual predator to pretend to be such a leader and use his position to prey upon the innocent.

Other, larger faith groups can have similar problems. For example, in Christianity in addition to large denominations and mega-churches, there are small house-churches and home Bible study groups that serve as alternatives. A predator might make use of this situation, too.

Of course, if I gave in to your illegal extortion plot tomorrow and sent you money, this wouldn't be over because it's not about money for you, it's about obsession.

I track all of my blogs and web pages with StatCounter and am quite surprised to see that this site has more traffic than my next 3 most popular pages combined.

This blog wasn't really meant to have much traffic, I thought of it as a place to dump C. T.'s emails--- a public place, if anyone cared to look, but I certainly never thought of this site having anyone much looking at it other than me and C. T.

Perhaps there are more cyberstalking victims out there who are somehow encouraged to see they are not alone. That's why I make sure to run general information stuff in my blog posts as well as my own personal stuff. I know I was helped when this first started when I discovered that my problem had a name--- cyberstalking--- and that it wasn't just me, there were a lot of people going through it.

I wish I could do more to help. I thought of having a Yahoo group for stalking victims, but of course if I mentioned it, then the stalker would find it.

I wish he'd screw up his courage and post it where his friends will see it. If he would do so, I'd offer him a useful tip about his brand-new internet project even though I disagree with it.

Cell phones for stalking victims

It's imperative that every stalking victim carry a cell phone at all times to make emergency calls for help. If you can't afford it you may be able to get one free, contact police, or check out the link from the previous posting.

I'm kind of lucky because my stalker lives in another country and may have a police record for 'terrorism', which makes it somewhat unlikely he can come to this country.

But then again, I just heard a news story where a guy tried to enter the US from Canada carrying a knife, a sword, and a bloody chainsaw and they let him in (because he was a US citizen). Turns out his neighbors in Canada were just found dead and cut up....

Anyway, a cell phone is basic safety. Make sure you have one in your purse just in case. (Having a handgun can't hurt, either.)

He thinks that will hurt me some how. Yet who did it hurt? C. T.! Now no one will know how to find that group, and they won't know what it is about.

As for the identical name: what does it matter? I've found a web site 'Asatru Nation' which has nothing to do with C. T.

Revenge fantasy

Sometimes when one is abused one is tempted not to take the high road, but to wish that one's abuser gets the justice he has coming. I'm not proud of it, but the daily death threats do tend to make forgiveness and nobility a little hard. Excuse this little diversion into fantasy.

The stalker waits eagerly by his mailbox. At last he has compelled his victim to submit to him, to give him what he has demanded to call off his 'total war'.

When the package arrives, he doesn't even notice the men in the shadows. He grabs his prize.

The men step forward. There are handcuffs involved.

"You are under arrest for extortion, racketeering and aggravated harrassment," says the first man.

"We were waiting for you to take actual possession before making the arrest," says the second. "You'll do more time for actual extortion than attempted extortion."

And he is led off to meet his date with the legal system......

Dr. Park Dietz, a forensic psychologist, says that 95% of stalkers have obvious mental disorders. 75% are psycotics. Perhaps the key is better mental health care for the serious patients instead of just prescribing meds--- which may not be taken--- and forgetting them.

Dietz also says the stalker is in search of an identity, and are lacking in social skills and maturity.

The good news is that experts say only 2% of stalkers are dangerous.

I've closed the comment function of this blog as Cyber Terrorist has used it to post a death threat against me (Six Magic Words).

At least his email threats have better evidentiary value in a court of law--- though I'll bet they can track even the anonymous stuff back to him well enough to get a conviction.

I've had some more threats but won't be posting them just yet. I have more important things to do in my life for one thing; and when I do get back to work on Nightmare Realm I think I need to start putting up his letters and such up as graphic files, sort of a 'smoking gun' type thing.

I hope this is a good sign. Perhaps C. T. is realizing that he was just damaging his own reputation.

I'm also hoping that leaving him outlets to contact me (I'm not blocking his email addresses and he can comment on my blogs if he doesn't slander me or swear) will tone down his obsession.

Or maybe I'm just feeding the obsession. My mom's psychologist suggested I change my name to get away from him, and I suppose I'd have to change my religion, too, become a Druid or a Slavic Pagan or something.

But I guess I'm just a bullheaded German and don't believe that a 'cyber terrorist identity thief' should be able to take away my name, my newsletter, my religion and my ethnicity.

My bullheadedness may cost me my life, I suppose. Obsessed stalkers do kill. But C. T. is in Ireland and brags of having a criminal record for 'terrorism', and so it's likely he can't travel. And I really doubt he can incite some American to kill me for him--- I hope, I hope.

I can live with the risk, but thank the Gods C. T. doesn't know where my mother, my brother and my nieces live!

The 'pornographic messages' slander

In a previous post I give a message board posting from Cyber Terrorist in which he writes the following.

"She also runs two message boards, one is for women only. But both carry
pornographic messages in Nissa Annakindt's name!"

What he is talking about is that some person using the e-mail address nissaannakindt@yahoo.com joined my message boards, pretended to be me, posted absolute filth I can't even describe, and thus the message boards crashed and burned.

When I recently tried to appease Cyber Terrorist, since he had sent an e-mail to my 78 year old mother entitled "Gay men having sex" or some such using his nissaannakindt@yahoo.com address, evidently thinking my mother would think the filth came from me, he sent some nice e-mails.

Then, using his nissaannakindt@yahoo.com address, he forwarded to me a message from someone I know who had been trying to reach me, believing nissaannakindt@yahoo.com to be my email.

That forwarded e-mail has been posted here.

As a person who has always had a reputation as an honorable person, it's sickening to always have to defend against wild slanders from some one like C. T.

Inbox anxiety

Every time my computer notifies me I have new mail in my inbox, I get
this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Is it from Cyber
Terrorist, or just another spammer?

Even when C. T. has been quiet for awhile, there's always this thought
in the back of my head that if C. T. gets frustrated and upset and wants
to abuse someone without getting jailed or smacked by irate relatives,
he may decide to attack me some more.

Ever since the nightmare began I've been tying myself in knots trying to figure out what to do. I've tried ignoring the whole situation, but since my religion of Asatru is so small it's a little like having to give up all contact with those of my faith lest I encounter *him*.

I don't know if posting his e-mails will make him go away. But at least I'm trying to take back the ground I've lost and start living my life again.

And it's a great relief, when I get a nasty e-mail I know just what to do, just forward it here and I don't have to think about it if I don't want to.

Incidentally, I've found I can move the old stalker-emails back to the origination date. It's rather tempting to put up some of the rest that way, but I'm still thinking of scanning some of them and posting them as images, also want to do a scan of the logo of his Nine Virtues News to place next to a copy of the logo of mine so he can't claim coincidence.

"The Six Magic Words Are: Don't Suffer Nissa Annakindt to Live".

In other words, a death threat.

The list of American crimes against humanity is endless.
